
Danny A Mammo, MD
Danny A. Mammo, MD, FASRS, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in vitreoretinal medical and surgical diseases, and uveitis and ocular inflammatory diseases.
Dr. Mammo completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota, where he received the Poland Finke Chair Resident Award for clinical and academic excellence. He subsequently completed dual fellowship training at the Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, in vitreoretinal surgery and uveitis and inflammatory diseases. Before joining Washington Retina, he served on the faculty as a staff physician at the Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, and as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University. During his time at the Cleveland Clinic, he was honored with numerous distinctions, including Fellow Teacher of the Year, Retina Attending Teacher, the prestigious Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship, and being named One to Watch by Retina Today. He is an active member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Vit-Buckle Society, and the American Uveitis Society. In addition, he has served as a principal investigator on multiple clinical trials and has been involved in developing several surgical innovations. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters and has spoken at many national meetings.
After a fulfilling tenure at the Cleveland Clinic, he is joining Washington Retina, where his clinical practice focuses on vitreoretinal diseases and uveitis. Dr. Mammo is committed to bringing world-class care to his patients. He and his family are thrilled to call the Seattle area home and look forward to exploring the Pacific Northwest.
