Minhee Cho, MD

Dr. Minhee Cho joined Washington Retina in 2023.  She is an experienced retina surgeon with extensive expertise in all aspects of retinal diseases and surgery.

​

Dr. Cho obtained her undergraduate degree at Stanford University, after which she obtained her M.D. degree at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.  She completed her ophthalmology residency training at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital at New York University, where she served as chief resident during her final year.  She then went on to complete a retinal surgery fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.  During her training, Dr. Cho authored numerous publications and had the opportunity to conduct ophthalmology research at the renowned Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, India.

Dr. Cho is passionate about caring for patients and communities, and has volunteered her medical services internationally in South America and Jamaica.  Her broad range of experiences in multiple cities and countries gives her a unique ability to understand and connect with her patients.  She enjoys getting to know her patients and makes patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their visits and procedures.

Dr. Cho moved to Seattle to bring her passion, compassion, and surgical skills to the local community.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two young children.

Dr. Cho speaks Korean and Spanish.
