A novel method for traditional angiography is OCT Angiography (OCT-A), in which thousands of OCT scans are taken each second to document blood flow in the macular vessels.   Although this technology is new and rapidly emerging, it is very useful in assessing macular vascular abnormalities or perfusion defects.
